AWAY WITH NATURE

Since the global hit of COVID19 and ‘daily outdoor exercises‘ were put into place, the appreciation of nature was found again. Reconnecting with our surroundings and being able to feel at one with what is in front of us and appreciating our country for its natural beauty. Finding a site that investigates issues within their community, setting themselves goals and priorities to overcome. This made an exciting process which allowed me to underline each goal and experiment different ways to enhance the sites natural beauty – ways that would get people to appreciate nature in its true form.  Understanding the performance of the surroundings, helped me put together the best possible way to portray the final proposal.

This design proposal created a hotel that is set within a forest landscape. The position of the hotel allows appreciation through every angle, feeling a part of the surrounding rather than an outsider. The appreciation of nature can be enjoyed through the performance of weather change, seasons and wildlife whilst you can sit back and relax.

Looking at the surrounding as part of a performance will allow architecture to flourish and become connected to the site.
