BRAND

An existing restaurant design proposal, focusing on natural raw materials that create an exclusive, personal and intimate experience. This was the first project where I got the chance to speak to the client and understand their brand values which I could take forward into my design process. Being able to connect to a existing site allowed me to understand the story behind their current identity and develop a proposal that included all these factors whilst putting my design take on it.

The final proposal created an industrial style restaurant that incorporated intimacy throughout, whilst inspired by the aesthetic of shipping containers.

Materials for this design are a mixture of raw and urban finishes. Keeping an industrial finish to surfaces and walls, creating a sense of bringing the outside in. Materials such as plywood, recycled metals, and brick and dark colours to emphasise on the lighting and shadows created by the lights.

It was very important to the client to keep a relationship with their customers therefore the design and layout hoped to enhance that throughout. This modern British restaurant channels intimacy yet acquiring a family orientated atmosphere. It serves private dining booths with the chance to look over into the kitchen and see your meal being prepared. Minimal details yet elegant finishes, a relaxed dining experience serving high quality service.
